Manifesto
Five things
we believe.
None of this is novel. All of it used to be how desktop software was built, before the industry forgot.
01
Local-first, not cloud-first.
Your machine is faster than people give it credit for. The work you do on it should belong to you, run on it, and stay on it. Cloud is a deployment choice, not a default.
02
One-time purchase, not a subscription.
You buy software, you own software. Pricing should not tax the act of working. If a product cannot stand on a one-time price, the product is not finished.
03
No accounts, no telemetry, no surveillance.
A productivity tool should not need to know who you are, what you said, or how often you said it. The app runs locally. There is nothing to phone home about.
04
Native, not Electron-bloat.
Rust where it matters. Small installers, fast startup, low memory. A productivity app that takes three seconds to launch is a tax that nobody asked for.
05
British-built, independently run.
A studio of one to start, in Wales, accountable to the people who buy the software. Not investors. Not a board. Not a growth team. Just customers and code.
In short
Software you buy once, runs on your PC, and stays out of your way.
It is a quiet position to take in 2026. We think it is the right one. If it sounds like the kind of software you want to use, the first product is shipping today.
